If youre renting skis this week at Beaver Creek make sure that if it has not snowed in a few days that you rent some skis made for the moguls or for the ice. The first trail I go to on Beaver Creek is Golden Eagle, always anxious to see if it has been groomed so I can make some nice long steep turns on the hill. In the past week I went over there twice and one time it was a mogul field from top to bottom, the other time it was a long sheet of ice. It is a tough choice to decide between a soft ski or a stiff ski in these types of conditions if you are looking to rent for the week. It seems that Beaver Creek likes to wait on grooming on a lot of their terrain making it very bumpy for the morning person looking to make some groomed runs.
