Living in the Vail Valley, a resort community, is an unbelievable luxury. As someone who enjoys new gear (who doesn’t), I love browsing the Beaver Creek ski shops and seeing all the Beaver Creek ski rentals people use. And it seems like if its not snowing, the sun is shining. But there are surely downsides. The main one is that when the rest of the country is on vacation, we are working. The busiest times of the year are of course holidays, because that’s when people have time off the travel. In turn, I wasn’t able to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas with my family this year. No complaints though, as living here is a fine trade off.
