The smell I am referring to is obviously football. Thursday marked the beginning of College football and what better way to do so than have two top 25 teams meet in the very fist game of the season. This was done when 16th ranked Oregon went to 14th ranked Boise State. Both teams are known for their high powered offense, so most people expected a very high scoring game. When it was all said and done the game was good but not what people expected. With a total of 27 points being put up between both teams it was more of a defensive and don’t turn the ball over kind of game. The game gave us 5 turnovers and a punch to be remembered. After the game Orgeon’s running back punched a Boise State player in the face, and then went at fans before being held back by coaches, event staff and police. It is a shame the opening of football will be remember by a punch but it is drama like this that makes football the most popular sport in America. WIth football starting everyone knows that snow and skiing are just around the corner, so the boys at the Vail Ski Shop are getting ready for both.
